walk4lanka – a fundraising sponsored walk for Sri Lanka – Sunday 25 September 2022 at 10am – Farmoor Reservoir, Oxford OX2 9NS
APSL – UK is having a sponsored walk and a picnic on Sunday 25th September 2022, at Oxfordshire Farmoor Reservoir to raise much needed funds to provide food and medicines for the most vulnerable in Sri Lanka due to the prevailing current situation.

The High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in the United Kingdom H.E Mrs Saroja Sirisena and the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Councilor James Fry will grace the event.
Join us for our sponsored walk and a picnic either individually or by forming a team of walkers from your workplace or from among your friends and family. You can support us either by joining as a fundraiser for an enjoyable day out walking or by making a donation.
We are planning to start the walk at 10.00am and all registered participants are required to be present at the APSL marquee located in the park for registration and will be given a brief regarding the walk including health and safety requirements. The walk including the picnic shall conclude by 3.00pm.
How can you participate?

- If you want to be a team leader, please put your details on the form. Then colleagues/family can “Join the team” from the team leaders’ page or “FIND” their team from the same link above.

Farmoor Reservoir is easily accessible from Reading, London, Birmingham, and from nearby counties like Bedfordshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, Northamptonshire, Middlesex, Surrey etc. All reachable within 1 to 1.5 hours.

Picnic and raffle after the walk
All registered walkers will be treated to Sri Lankan snacks during the picnic and will have an opportunity to win great prizes at a raffle after the walk. There will be some limited car parking – the site authorities kindly request you to carpool as far as possible to avoid any congestion in the parking area.
