SLHC and APSL Research Symposium 2021
Those submitting abstracts must follow the instructions detailed below.
- Include title, authors’ names and affiliations.
- Please state on the abstract whether you would like it to be considered as an oral or poster presentation.
- Type the abstract in single line spacing
- Submission should be made by email attachment as a Word Document.
- Word limit: Maximum 300 words (including title)
Please submit your abstracts to education@apsl.org.uk with a copy to education@slhc-london.co.uk by 11.59 pm on Monday 28th June 2021. Due to the limited availability of the places, you are encouraged to submit your abstracts as soon as possible.
Oral Presentations
Oral Presentations: 12 minutes with 8 minutes for questions. Timings will be strictly enforced. You must record your presentation prior to the event and send it to us by 11.59 pm on 23rd of August 2021 via we transfer (https://wetransfer.com) or a shared google drive link.
The presentation must represent the independent research of the presenters. The following criteria will be considered by the Assessment Panel: The quality of the content, Overall presentation, and Presenter’s engagements with questions.

Poster Presentations
There will be a dedicated session to display poster presentations via Zoom. For judging purposes, there will be an allocated time for each presenter where they are expected to be online with their poster presentation providing an opportunity to answer any questions and discuss the content.
The presentation must represent the independent research of the presenter. The following criteria will be considered by the Assessment Panel: The quality of the content, Overall presentation, and Presenter’s engagement with questions.
