President of APSL delivers keynote speech at COSMOS event to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of Sri Lanka

The President of APSL, Thushara Madurasinghe was invited to deliver the Keynote speech at an event to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of Sri Lanka. The event organised by the Council of Sri Lankan Muslim Organisations (COSMOS) and Al – furqan Luton was held at the Chiltern Academy in Luton.
Amongst the many distinguished guests that attended the event were:
H.E Mrs Saroja Sirisena – Sri Lanka High Commissioner
Mr Shakeer Nawas – President, COSMOS
Mr Abdul Firoze – President, Al Furqan Luton Lankan Muslims
Hon Mahmood Hussain, Mayor of Luton
Mr James Langwith – Chief Inspector Bedfordshire Police
John Ranjan Yorke – Chairman, Conservative Friends of Sri Lanka
The event helped to mark and celebrate Sri Lanka’s 74 years of independence and commemorate the individuals that contributed to it’s achievement.
