On this sad and dark aftermath of the Easter Sunday tragic events in Sri Lanka, we send our thoughts and prayers to all those affected. As an organisation that promotes diversity in a united Sri Lanka, we stand with all communities in Sri Lanka and in the United Kingdom to condemn these horrific attacks and offer our deepest sympathies to all victims during this time of grief.
We had an emergency executive committee meeting on 22nd April to discuss the ways we can support using our local networks in Sri Lanka. Currently, we are exploring the possibility of using our existing projects and expertise in Sri Lanka to help these activities.
We also offered our support to the Sri Lankan High Commission in London in any capacity (immediate, short or long term) to ensure the safety and welfare of Sri Lankans.
We strongly believe that it is our utmost duty to look after the fellow Sri Lankans.
