Prof Athula Sumathipala

Membership is open to Sri Lankan professionals of any ethnic origin, creed or political persuation, living in any part of the UK; as well as persons  of non-Sri Lankan origin who meet our criteria*.

Anyone who is:

  • Employed,  self-employed retired or unemployed, but able to contribute to the work of the Association from a base of special professional knowledge and experience,

or

  •  Member of a recognised professional body in Sri Lanka, the UK or other national or international body, or studying or undergoing training in an approved institution in the UK with a view to gaining admission to membership of such a professional body,

 or

  •  Employed in a managerial capacity in any field by virtue of relevant practical / professional experience,

 And

  •  Sri Lankan national by birth, by descent through either parent, by marriage or by registration/naturalisation;

 or

  •  Dual national (citizen) of Sri Lanka and the UK,

 or

  •  Married* to a Sri Lankan National

or

  • A national (citizen) of a country other than Sri Lanka and desires to support* the aims of the Association to work for the ultimate  benefit of the Sri Lankan nation within the policies and priorities of the Government of Sri Lanka.

Membership fee

The Membership fee is £15 per annum.  You could apply for the APSL membership in two ways:
